As many of you know, the band has been through shattering heartbreak and, from that, immense personal growth. This is the return. Lu, Preston, and newcomer Jesse Cruce teamed up to create “Beauty From Ashes”, which features acoustic versions of five songs from the “Everything and More” album and five new songs – including their new single “Teach Me” and their current Christmas single “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” (at radio now). And there is more to come – Lu is VERY excited, at long last, to release his debut solo album “Lucio Rubino” in the coming days. StorySide:B –Reformation Begins A New Revolution Time heals all things as band overcomes tragedy to begin anew Saint Augustine, Florida (July 22, 2011) – Bandmates Lucio Rubino and Preston Pohl announced earlier this month, the reformation of their band StorySide:B. The group rode a wave of success during the mid-2000s behind hits that included "Be Still" (BMI Award “Top 5 Most Played Songs on Christian Radio), "Miracle" (#2 on Christian radio), "Everything and More" (#2 on Christian radio), and "More To This Life" (#14 on Christian radio). StorySide:B faced the most difficult of challenges in 2009 as bassist Ron McClelland collapsed and died while playing basketball on the Carnival cruise ship Fascination. Three weeks later, the band’s manager David Lipscomb lost his battle with cancer. The sad coincidence of events derailed the band, as the remaining members went their separate ways and pursued independent music projects. Earlier this year, Lu and Preston decided it was time to again create music together. Growing from the challenges and successes of the past and embracing a vibrant musical future, Lu and Preston as StorySide:B, carry the same positive message their fans came to love and expect. The band’s new sound is both familiar and new – with the old grooves and rhythmic excitement blending seamlessly with a more acoustic guitar-driven sound accented by Lu’s smoky, soul-filled vocals. StorySide:B has begun playing live dates and are in the process of completing a new recording featuring acoustic versions of the band’s hits as well as much anticipated new music.
